On another note, it's "interesting" how you can't block videos on Firefox anymore. Deactivating flash doesn't work anymore.

well A) deactivating flash works, B) html5 videos won't be deactivated by deactivating flash.

Deactivating Flash DID work up until about 2-3 months ago. Now, the videos play on every single news site I go to, as well as tons of other sites. So if you're saying all those sites suddenly started using HTML5 videos 2-3 months ago, that makes sense. But such a sudden, across-the-board change doesn't seem right.

well they are now going to not block all ads.

You just have to mess with the settings and tell them to block all ads. They are just changing the default setting to allow ads that they say aren't obtrusive.

Chrome stopped supporting flash. Larger sites like news sites are switching over because a lot of their viewers would not be able to see the videos at all if they didn't make the change.
