I've never understood the cultural fascination with Joe Rogan.

Me neither, but that whole, "Kardashian Pussy makes men insane," bit is hilarious.

Marlon Wayans has a similar bit, but I don't know who did it first. I think his was more focused on Lamar Odom, but before Bruce Jenner transitioned to CJ, and of course everyone is continuing to be more amazed by how insane Kanye keeps getting.

I didn't make it that far. His unrelenting banality wrapped up in a package of edginess just makes my head hurt.

yeah I saw Juno a long time ago. It is remarkable how little I remember of the movie.. but I do remember the two main women :thumbup
and the BF and the hilarious (I thought, at the time) dad of Juno.

Juno is a beautifully cast movie, and my introduction to Elliot Page - and I think Michael Cera as well. JK Simmons is magnificent as always. Someday I gotta watch Oz.

When he came out, I did immediately thought back to Juno - not only a female character, but the entire plot anchors on a deeply biological feminine function. I wonder what his thoughts are on that movie now.

Expressions of hypermasculinity are very common for trans women to express before fully accepting their female gender. It's the subject of the song "Drinking with the Jocks" by the band Against Me!, a rock band fronted by a trans woman.

The lyrics are quite vulgar, apologies for that.

"I'm drinking with the jocks
I'm laughing at the faggots
Just like one of the boys
Swinging my dick in my hands

All my life
All my life
Just like I was one of them

Look at all them bitches, yeah
I'm going to fuck them all
Look at all that pussy, yeah
Fill it up with cum

All my life
All my life
Wishing I was one of them"

Woah :wow

Yeah, very much so that. So when you get to know someone like that for 2 years, and suddenly they want to be a girl (and they went full on physical transformation too), but still kinda act like a guy for a while... it is extremely confusing and funny.

I am saddened by BL's banning

same here. deeply saddened.

Me too.

What the actual fuck.

If calling out troll behavior is a violation of the TOS, I'm not sure I have any goddamn business here.

yeah - i was like :wow

Hold the horror please.

He worked the tiers. This was his 10th suspension (7 is a ban). We have given multiple breaks and adjusted our own rules to keep him here. He did have some long time outs before. I like Mike but the amount of work his behavior has created for us is ... a lot.

If you need to know more PM me.

The actual what the fuck is people not knowing the history and only reacting to what they see here.

He will have a chance to return of course.

i get it, and yeah, maybe he’s a PITA - but he’s what i consider a VERY valued member of our community. and i’m incredibly sad he’s no longer here. that’s what i’m reacting to. the impact on me personally. and in this particular thread, he said what i was thinking.

i agree absolutely with gwynne - it was brave of elliot to go public. and being dismissive of that - well, i found that profoundly offensive. so maybe BL is a shit disturber, but in this instance i love and appreciate the shit he disturbed. i agree 1000% with the point he made.

am looking forward to his return. hope he knows how much.

Once again, eloquent words capture my thoughts. The phrase familiarity breeds contempt is applicable here. I feel like a member of our family has been kicked out of the house.

I'm very unhappy about BL. And it makes me wonder if there's not a better way to deal with situations like this. Also has me wondering again if I am the right fit for BARF if he isn't. I've known him for years and he has so much integrity.

VTRZA?

In all my many years on BARF and all the arguments I have been in, I was only ever suspended once, and I did it intentionally as a protest.

If you find yourself suspended 10 times, some shit is wrong with your behavior. It does not make you a bad person, it does not mean you should not be friends with people, it just means that this community is designed to operate a certain way, and if you aren't able to comply with that system, maybe you're not a good fit for the group.

If there are suggestions to changes in the TOS the community in significant numbers would like to see, I'm sure Bud and the mods would at least consider them, but no individual should ever be placed above the rules.

Didn't he threaten other members with physical violence?

Lord, I don't remember, he was a perpetual shit disturber who was bad for the community. I hung out with him a few times back in the day and he seemed like an all right guy, but if all you do is disrupt others and start shit, you don't belong here, or really in any civil community. That is what 4Chan is for.

He came to mind as a dude that a lot of people liked and they used to protest after he was banned for like 2 years.

Too bad about BL, but the case seems justified from what Budman said, it is what it is. :dunno

Beyond threatened. Actually went to jail.

:laughing Cheyenne Part II? Man we were a lively bunch when we were young. :laughing

hmmm not the way I seem him. Seems like an everyday joe. I like his interviews from people from all walks of life...

Yeah, I have seen some of his stand up and listened to him as a fight commentator and never had a strong reaction either way. :dunno
