They also euthanize most of the animals they take custody of because they consider their "ownership" as pets a form of slavery more agonizing than death.

I've been down this road way too many times. It's like saying cancer centers have a high mortality rate so there must be rampant malpractice. I'm not sure where you got the slavery thing.

PETA's actual mission statement is to abolish pet ownership because they think it's slavery. Maybe they've tried to whitewash that during recent years Scientology-style but it's completely true and was a matter of public presentation last I checked their website a few years ago.

Also, if you look at how many animals the ASPCA euthanizes and how many PETA euthanizes, you will find that one of the two more closely resembles a slaughterhouse.

My point is, PETA is obviously insane and can't be taken at their word.

+1 on the GSD not like the bath. We would pump warm water out of a spa to wash the Dogs. The Muts luved it, the GSDs it was like bloody murder. :laughing

Never gonna see that movie though. I mistakenly bought the Audible book and couldn't get past the chapter where they put the dog to sleep in a kill shelter.
