A heads up on online purchases

This may not affect purchases made in the US but I ordered something before the shut down and when it did not arrive I inquired and turns out it was coming from Australia. No problem, but it supposedly is in Seattle just sitting there either waiting for customs, detox or whatever with no indication if or when it will ever leave Seattle.
I ordered some mc parts from a vendor in Britain too and they were to arrive on 23rd of March. Once again they are “somewhere” with no idea exactly where or when they are to arrive. Both vendors says it is out of their hands now so I am SOL. Maybe I will get them and maybe I won’t. Use caution ordering outside the US right now or be very patient.

Just curious ... what shipping methods are you dealing with? We have been experiencing some serious slow downs / lost shit w USPS right now. It has been frustrating to say the least!

I import small packages out of Europe regularly. It may be that they didn't send the right customs documentation and you need to let them know what's in the package.

It's not my fault...
I ordered a part from Germany 2nd of February and it's in customs in NJ right now. Dont know if I'll ever get it at this point

Shipping everywhere is delayed right now, because of increased volume. People are still hella shopping, it is just switching method.

Everyone is ordering a ton of stuff right now and shippers are also trying to concentrate on critical supplies.

It’s a double whammy.

I was trying to order a gopro mount for my helmet but I can't even get the vendor to respond to my email or answer the phone.
Critical medical supplies are cool and all that but this mount is important for shooting boring videos that I'll likely never even look at.

In my experience, it's because a ton of commercial flights are no longer being flown and most expediters own few if any of their own cargo planes. So it's like our TP scarcity, but with cargo air space.

I ordered some shit from china. Have no idea where it is. Company told me to stop my order dispute and they would send another. At this point, I don't need it. Ordered beer from Russian River. Got here in a week. ordered a sub woofer from the east coast. Got here in 4 days. So, local shipping seems ok. Foreign shipping is f@cked.

My experience as well. My custom made 8 string made it from Escondido to my door in 3 days. All the 7 strings I had built before the shit hit the fan took 5 days. All FedEx btw...

Perhaps the djentlords were pleased with my current trajectory.:dunno

I ordered something from China... :laughing

It hasn't moved since March 26th.

China airlines has to stop off in Alaska first.
But SFO to China are still nonstop. All day..every day..

but i been ordering stuff outta dhgate (wholesale china) on 3/15 placed 5 items ordered, 4/5 has shipped and I have already received 1 like 2-3 days earlier this week.

I know alot of these eastern warehousee wholesale will hold the shipment until the entire pallet/container is loaded/filled up and then its shipped, but regardless things are moving normally to my surprise
