I rode out to King Estates Vinyard and Winery for lunch today with friends; Rick, Doug and Ken. Got a couple photos in front of the Pinot vines.
Relatively warm day for this autumn. We had a cold spell earlier with a lot of rain, 2019 might not be a great vintage for Pinot Noir.
I have a Merlot vine in my yard that looked like it was going to produce a lot of grapes this year, but they didn't survive the weather a couple weeks ago.
From left, me with my Aprilia Caponord, Ken with his 1984 R100T custom "Moto Espresso", Doug with his 1973 Moto-Guzzi T-3, Rick with his 2016 Road King.
Great ride, equally great lunch.
If you make it up this way, I highly recommend any road in the area, and there are plenty of wineries, even here in the Southern end of Willamette Valley.
Oregon has a total population of less than the Bay Area alone, so most backroads can be nearly free of traffic on weekdays.
