Bike = yamaha fj09
Stock seat = tail bone was burning after 50 mi
I built a seat using a air hawk, resest into the stock seat and was better but only good for about two hours before things started hurting.
Had a ride in appointment at laam custom seats in redding ca. I think this is the best option as you can sit on the seat and make any adjustments needed. So last Sunday and Monday I was able to put about 700 miles on the new seat and it was awesome. Remember because of my situation I don't get off my bike as much as others. I was in the seat on Monday for two and a half hours then got off the bike to visit and have lunch, then back on the bike for six and a half hours and I never hurt. I would have never been able to ride that long with out the new laam seat. My uncle went with me on his Harley and ended up having Seth build him a seat. We are both extremely happy with the seats.

I tried to post some pics of my trip on another post but they won't work. I did get a picture from a different phone to work. When my wife gets home I will try her phone. I will say it's not as sporty looking as the stock seat, but when your sitting on it you can't see it anyways.

Thanks... that looks pretty good! Another option for seats... although a bit further than Corbin. :)

My experience with corbin, was they waited for me to tell them what I wanted and then did it. Since I don't build seats for a living I wasn't sure of all my options. It looked good, but no where near the comfort of this seat. Now this was 20 yrs ago, so take that for what it's worth. Seth said he builds long distance touring seats and that's what I was looking for. Happy with my decision so far.

:thumbup Would you please post contact info for this place? I'm super interested in getting a better seat for my Street Triple. :)

I've had my Laam seat on my FJR for over a year now and it is amazing. All day comfort for sure. I also did a ride-in and I would recommend that for any new customers if at all possible.

He takes about 3 hours to build the seat custom shaping the foam (two or three different densities IIRC) to your physique and then sews a cover to match the shape.

I highly recommend his expertise.
