Actually, I had the scale off. This was big, but nowhere near the massive size 9.2 they had in 1964.

Hope people there are doing OK. Gotta really suck with power and gas out when it's dark 17 hours a day and cold

I been following this all day. The amount of aftershocks is mind bending. It was 41 by this afternoon and some of em up to 5.3. Now 108.

Two coworkers flew out of there this morning, apparently their plane got in the air less than an hour ahead of the quake. Glad it sounds like no fatalities or major injuries.

My wife's best friend lives in Kodiak. They had to evacuate to high ground because of a tsunami warning.

My wife’s step sister and her husband and kid live in Anchorage. Said they were at their plane hanger when it hit. They went home and there was a lot of glass from windows but overall their house appears to be fine. Haven’t gotten any other updates though.
