you're a long ways from san jose my friend. Balch Camp is not accessible even for the locals. At least you're on the right bike to do it and not like my friend on an R1. Breath taking isn't it?

:). Yep. I rode it yesterday. This morning I had some fun exploring the dirt road south entrance to Yosemite that skips the gates. Home now.

If your friend posted pics of his R1 on that road on ADVRider 5+ years ago, then you can credit him for me finding the place. Saw his pics and had to go. Rode it 4 times now I think... the first two on my old VFR.

If you're feeling feisty on your next trip, keep going after Black Rock Res through Sawmill Flat, and eventually Wishon.

A couple off topic questions?

-are you in enduro, enduro pro, or one of the others on the type of surface pictured above?
-do you find 1st gear a bit tall?

Enduro/Enduro Pro? Aren't those BMW modes? My bike is a KTM :). I'm in offroad mode...

*Drool* do want to get the dual sport and ride out there. Perfect for weekend adventures/treks.

Link to post you're talking about how to bypass yosemite gate and get on those trails?
