Selling this bike for a friend! Reason for selling...my buddy is getting out of the sport as he's more into overland camping, backpacking, and off-roading now.
Anyway, he bought the bike because he wanted something that was as turn-key as possible. And being new to trackdays, he wanted something 'new' that he could build/work on himself and didn't yet understand the allure (personally speaking) of buying an ex-race bike. So back in ~2018, he bought this new from GP Motorcycles down in SD for $8k delivered to his house.
If you didn't know, the RC Cup bikes come wearing the KTM race fairings with a slew of race stickers - I'm guessing the series sponsors, with race stands, and all the KTM Power Parts (including three different rear sprockets) that were available installed on the bike. Beyond that, all my buddy did was buy/install the non-catted titanium mid-pipe for the OE Akrapovic, some Tech Spec tank pads, a set of frame sliders, tire warmers from SV Racing Parts, and threw on a Battery Tender lead.
Track time wise, the RC Cup has seen no more than eight (8!) B/C sessions. My buddy just never got into it... I've personally ridden the bike at THill East and thought it was a blast...you have so much time to prep and make adjustments, pre- and mid-turn(!), and I couldn't help but laugh in my helmet the entire time I rode it.
All that said, he's asking for $OLD - and it comes with everything described.
All said, this is an awesome alternative to a CBR or Ninja 250/400 and it's prepped for immediate track use. Fantastic for anyone new to the track or wanting a simple turn-key track ride!
Come rescue this cool machine from my garage!!!
