2011 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship

AMA said:
The Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship features the world’s fastest outdoor motocross racers, racing aboard the best bikes each factory offers, on the roughest, toughest tracks in the world. Motocross racing is survival of the fittest as well as the fastest every weekend; it’s where legends like Ricky Carmichael, Jeremy McGrath, James Stewart, and Ryan Villopoto were built.

Motocross is the original extreme action sport, and the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship is the pinnacle of pure motocross. The 12-rounds series, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing, begins at Hangtown in May and ends at Pala Raceway in September. It includes stops at the premier motocross racing facilities in America, with events in Colorado, Texas, Massachusetts, Washington, New York, Maryland and Michigan. The pro riders meet up on Saturday afternoon, with competition divided into two classes: one for 250cc bikes, and one for 450cc machines. Also, eight of the rounds feature the rapidly-growing Pro Women’s Motocross Championship.

And now my new journey begins...

These guys are so fricking good.. watching I can count to myself.. My crashes

"I am down here..."

"Oh shit there two..."

"hey I might have been able to do that...(25 years ago)... that's three."

Incredible athletes in the worlds toughest sport.. :hail

is the un-edited footage of 0:10-0:12 as good as i think it could be?!?!?

cool vid as always

yes
:teeth
but you don't see anything but more cleavage. They were a really fun group!

Crashing... I got to ride Sipes bike a few weeks back down in SD (that's when he gave me his helmet). Butter... I can't think of a better word then butter. The bike rode so amazingly, suspension we beautiful, throttle response was amazing, linear power...
Made my 250 seem like a stick in the mud.

Ryan said my bike rode like shit :'( So his mechanic actually did some work on it to help it run a little better :party My bike is bone stock :laughing

Yakoo752, awesome vid, but a bit of constructive criticism here......

Why the hell did you do a High Point vid and not include any footage of the massive hip double? That jump is gnarly, and is one of the coolest hits on the National circuit.

I don't do the editing (I manage the contract between the 2 companies, I am on-site for all of these races though), but I can ask my production team... The videos I put up here are more just sizzle reels... you can see lapping footage at http://www.youtube.com/gopromx

It is possible the perspective just didn't work, you can see full laps here

@ what time is this jump?

It's at 0:45, the jump is so gnarly not everyone in the 250 class were hitting it, and after the rain no one attempted it in either 2nd moto.

rain no one attempted it in either 2nd moto.

if the cameras get all mudded out before they reach that point, we don't get any watchable footage out of it

and we have different rights to all the footage (practice, moto1, moto2) ;)

I'll look into it more

Cool... loved the whole lap and the on board does not give the same perspective at trackside for sure, but it is hella sweet! :thumbup
