1-Armed Bandit
Selling my (much loved) 2009 WR250X with 22k miles
Asking price: $3100
Condition: Has a salvage title, but it's a dirtbike... Salvaged by insurance b/c the rims were scratched, rear swingarm got a small scratch, and the front right fork tube had a bolt sheered off. Both levers (on the right side) were bent. That's the extent of the damage. Nothing needed replacement except for the levers. Bike has been down 4x, never over 30mph and never tumbled. Here are the pics from the insurance company the week I reported it.
It's got ~60% treadlife left on the supercorsas that I have on it.
Mods (minimal): Zeta brake lever, ARC clutch lever. Core Moto brake lines. Fatbar handlebar. GPR V4 Stabilizer. Full Spectrum P1 Lithium battery. Currently AFM legal, too. I'll even toss in a free turkey pan... err... oil catch pan if you want.
Maintenance: Oil done every 2-3000 miles like clockwork. Chain needs to be replaced, however. Valve adjustment is due soon, at 24miles
The X model WR250 is hard to find and I bought it b/c I needed a reliable, durable, light, and easy-to-maintain bike to re-learn how to ride with 1-arm after a crash 8 years prior. I have LOVED this bike and never thought a WR250 would be so much fun.
"But it's an underpowered 250, why would I want that?" It's still FUN! It's more capable than people give it credit for. Here's a clip of me running it at Thunderhill West https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fghj1VrZlHg
I have the headlight, tail light/fender ready to put back on.
Selling because I have an R6, 701, and just picked up an R3 for the 2019 AFM season. (Thank you, Z2!)
Current rear tire condition
"Sup, buy me so we can hang out like this too"
