Consider the maintenance work or fixes that YOU need to do to the bike, and factor that into the price. It is ok to pay more for a bike that has had all of the maintenance work done to it recently, or pay less and get a bike that needs some work, but you must know this in advance and be ok with it.
    • Inspecting the bike: if you are not experienced yourself, have a mechanic or an experienced friend check the bike before making a purchase. Crashed bikes:This is even more important if you are buying a bike that is being sold at a cheaper price with damages that the buyer is required to fix. In these cases, doing a frame check that will show any frame/fork/geometry damages is HIGHLY recommended. Do NOT simply rely on the information that the seller is providing, even he/she may not be aware of all the problems. Have the crashed bike checked and know what you are getting into.
    • Clean title, Salvage title A clean title doesn't mean the bike is free of serious issues. A Salvaged title doesn't mean the bike may have any problems. Every case is different. Some bikes are seriously damaged in a crash, but an insurance claim is never made on them, so they still have a clean title. Some bikes have had mostly cosmetic damages in a crash, but the insurance company decided to pay off the bike and salvage the title rather than spending the money to fix it. Know what you are getting into and don't make any assumptions based on what the seller is telling you.
    • Registration: Know about the current registration status of the bike. Check with DMV if you have any questions about any possible back fees and other title/registration questions (out of state title, no title with bill of sales only, etc.) before purchasing the bike.

    • Comments within a sale thread should be on topic and educational. Aggressive critiques and inside jokes will not be tolerated.     • If you disagree with a price, keep it to yourself. The seller has set the price. If you don't like it, don't buy it and move on. If you really feel strongly about it, then PM the seller.

2009 Ford F-150 with Rampage motorcycle lift

Up for sale is my bike hauler F-150. Has about 133k on it and runs perfectly. Freshly dealer serviced. It's a 2009 that was purchased from a construction company. I had Rampage Lifts (Concord, CA http://www.rampagelift.com/) build a custom lift for the back that still allows the tailgate to operate like OEM with a bike in the back.

It's got:
the big 5.4L V8 motor
a 36 gallon tank
backup sensor
bed lights
a utility flasher light
fresh suspension front and rear
new front sway bar bushings and endlinks
new spark plugs
new air filter
fresh transmission service (gaskets, filters, and fluid)

Located in Union City, CA.

I had the name of the company from some paperwork I found in the truck, but have since forgotten the name and the paperwork is long gone haha. It definitely was a concrete truck though. It had a decent amount of built up crap on the bottom I had to scrape off. Great condition though :)

It actually started it's life in Canada. The headache bar is from a Canada company too! Had to get the dealership to reconfigure my cluster to MPH when I picked it up. It was crazy getting passed on the freeway doing 90! haha. The 36 gallon tank wasn't an option in USDM for the 09 F-150 I don't think. This one has the max tow package too.

What's the weight rating on the lift? We're looking to replace one of our shop trucks and I really want one with a lift in the back again.

That's a really good question. I'm not sure, as it isn't stated on the site or documentation. It can handle a massive cruiser bike with no issue, so I'm sure it's damn near 1000 lbs at least. The winch is a 4000 lb winch. Let me know if you'd like me to reach out to Rampage to get more accurate numbers.

It'd be for Harleys which unloaded can be over 900lbs. I'll try to remember to mention this to one of the bosses this week. We're possibly looking to replace the Ram 1500 POS that we have from what the owner has said.

I hate both the shop trucks we have now (V6 '04 F150 and '02 Ram 1500) and wish we had the F250 or old Dodge 1500 back. The F150 can't get out of it's own way when it's got the trailer and a bike behind it. Merging is sketchy as fuck with it. The Dodge is just a piece of shit.

Actually, I THOUGHT I was going to sell my Kendon trailer (perhaps to you) now that I have a Ford Focus ST (which I think you also have) but have since discovered there is a Curt Hitch made for my car so I think I'll have the hitch installed and keep the trailer......

Love Love Love my Focus ST. You and I seem to have similar values, maybe you should stop resisting it and just find yourself a nice FJ-09, but make sure you get a Red 2015 (they're faster)

Oh, if you want to come by and check out my bike you can :rofl
