Consider the maintenance work or fixes that YOU need to do to the bike, and factor that into the price. It is ok to pay more for a bike that has had all of the maintenance work done to it recently, or pay less and get a bike that needs some work, but you must know this in advance and be ok with it.
    • Inspecting the bike: if you are not experienced yourself, have a mechanic or an experienced friend check the bike before making a purchase. Crashed bikes:This is even more important if you are buying a bike that is being sold at a cheaper price with damages that the buyer is required to fix. In these cases, doing a frame check that will show any frame/fork/geometry damages is HIGHLY recommended. Do NOT simply rely on the information that the seller is providing, even he/she may not be aware of all the problems. Have the crashed bike checked and know what you are getting into.
    • Clean title, Salvage title A clean title doesn't mean the bike is free of serious issues. A Salvaged title doesn't mean the bike may have any problems. Every case is different. Some bikes are seriously damaged in a crash, but an insurance claim is never made on them, so they still have a clean title. Some bikes have had mostly cosmetic damages in a crash, but the insurance company decided to pay off the bike and salvage the title rather than spending the money to fix it. Know what you are getting into and don't make any assumptions based on what the seller is telling you.
    • Registration: Know about the current registration status of the bike. Check with DMV if you have any questions about any possible back fees and other title/registration questions (out of state title, no title with bill of sales only, etc.) before purchasing the bike.

BARF PRICE 6300 OBO- trades considered 950/990 adventure, super duke, hypermotard

Time has come to shift my focus in riding. Looking to get into adventure riding and not much of that to be done on my ol gsxr.

Full disclosure***

I lost my original title and am applying for a replacement this week. It does hold a CLEAN title. No BS.

Also. I was hit on this bike when I got it last year. I was sitting at a red light preparing to turn left. Driver turning left in front of me cheated into my lane and just barely clipped the front tire. Bike went down in the right side a .5 mph. Everything checked out as straight. The following items were replaced with brand new oem unless specified.

Entire right fairing
Brake pedal
CRG folding brake lever
Right mirror
Right passenger rear set
Right rear fairing
Front brake rotors
Muffler -(replaced with yoshi dual r77s)

The shop could only sell me the carb compliant cans. But I'm too cool for that shit. Removed baffle on both and ordered a single side mid pipe so now it's a true slip on removing cat (still have mid pipes and cat)

I have done 6 track days on this bike at a c/ slow b pace. Oil changed every 3k or trackday weekend with synthetic and oem suzuki filter.

Has galfer braided lines front and rear. Spiegler braided clutch line.

Yoshimura case savers

R&G frame sliders. Cheapo swingarm spools.

Renthal Kevlar grips

Has ecu reflashed for current configuration. Dyno'd prior to flash and made 163 to the rear wheel.

Stomp grip on tank and no name buckle guard

Currently has a pirelli supercorsa dot race sc1 front. Plenty of life. Rear has a cooked sc1. However if the price is right I will include a spare rear wheel with a plenty if life left Q3. It does have a small ripple but holds air and beads just fine.

The bike currently shows 25k miles however it is not true. I purchased the bike with a +3 rear sprocket and the speedo was never corrected. I cannot say how many miles it truly had. But doesn't show it's age.

I replaced with steel stock gearing. The chain and sprockets have approximately 6k on them and have lots of life left.

I also only have one key(the spare) as that's all that was given to me.

So down to price / trades

Will put it up on craigslist for 6900. BARF price will be 6300.

Only trade considered is a ktm adventure 950/990.

Will try to get some photos this weekend but I work weekends. I have some on y phone and can email them as well.

1% to barf if it goes on here.

Because you asked, sort of. People know its OBO but if the starting point is way higher than what people feel they can realistically negotiate to they may not even bother. I know personally, I don't bother trying to negotiate past $600-500 because I hate lowballing people and I know they will always counteroffer.

That said, it looks like a solid well kept bike and I am sure you will find a good buyer.

Well one could always reply on decals or remove the one from the new fairing.

Honestly I am looking for something else and willing to negotiate. Just don't want to give it away but will do what I can for a barfer.

2008 CBR1000rr's are cheap because they're oil burners. I had one... Honda likes to pretend the issue doesn't exist. But it does. Burnt over a qt per thousand miles. That's not chill.

Now back to the OP's bike. It looks like a nice ride to me. Some ppl are deterred by the fact that the bike was hit. Even though everything may be straight, it scares some folks. You'll find the guy eventually

You could put the price up top of the posting.
Most guys aren't going to read every line to find the price in there with on bold or punctuation.
You need to make everything easy for the buyer.
Do you have the title yet? That's pretty important.
