It's a great car, but I needed something a little bit bigger and was able to pick up a 2005 Subaru Legacy GT, so it's time for the MS6 to go to someone else that will appreciate it.
The Speed 6 was produced for two years in the US, 2006 and 2007. It's a fairly rare car, only about 10,000 were sold. It was initially designed to compete with other compact performance sedans like the Subaru WRX and Mitsubishi Evo 9.
It has a 2.3L Direct Injection turbocharged 4cyl engine and a 6 speed manual transmission. It's rated at 274 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. It's definitely not the fastest car on the street, but it can get up and go and will surprise you with how quick it feels. It's also all wheel drive, which helps handling as well as poor weather conditions.
This specific car does not have factory navigation, and does have a sunroof. It is the "Grand Touring" model, which includes leather seats and keyless entry/ignition. However, when you see the pictures, you'll notice that the interior is cloth. The previous owner explained to me that when he bought the car, the leather was completely torn up and he elected to replace it with the cloth interior to avoid sliding around during spirited driving. The keyless entry/ignition was also removed at some point, you have to use the key to start the car. It's a few hundred dollars from Mazda to replace, but it never bothered me so I didn't.
There are a few bumps and nicks on the exterior of the car, I've taken pictures of them. There are a few spots on the hood, the passenger side front bumper, and the rear bumper that could use a bit of detail work or touch up paint. In all, for a 12 year old car, it is in fantastic shape and it runs like a top. Also, the clock/LCD display/ambient temperature display sometimes takes a little bit of time to turn on when it's really cold outside. It's about a 35 dollar part through ebay to replace.
The Bose stereo sounds good, the factory head unit was replaced with an aftermarket bluetooth radio.
At the time of this post, there are only 3 of these cars for sale in all of California. It's a great, rare car and you won't be disappointed when you take a look at it.
Clean title in hand
