Selling my 2005 Zx6r that I have had for close to two years. It has a clean title and I am the fourth owner. All three previous owners were BARFers and all the times it has been sold has been here on BARF. I have put roughly 6k miles on it in the time I have had it,around 10-12 trackdays, 5 in C group and rest in B group. Currently at 16300 miles.
Bike is sorted out well for the track. I have managed the best of 2:09 at T-Hill but with a better rider I would think you can drop 10 seconds easy off that time. Only time I dropped/crashed it was on an outlap at Sanoma few months back, cold day and Supercorsa SC2 meant a slow speed lowside on Turn 3A. I had a broken brake lever that I replaced and went back out to ride the rest of the day. Beside that I also ended up ripping out my rear spool which left a quarter sized hole in my swing arm, look at the pictures below more more details. I rode the rest of the day after the crash and did two more track days since then, bike handles the same and nothing has been affected as far as I can tell so I have not replaced the swingarm.
First owner did all the mods as far as I can tell, I only added the exhaust and the HID lights.
Good:
-Nice mods
-faster than most of the 600cc bikes I have encountered at the track, the extra 36cc does make a difference. If you can't get them in the corner, you will get them down the front straight!
-in good mechanical condition
Bad:
-Swing arm, refer to the pics below ( I have seen used swingarm on Ebay for as little as 80$ to new ones for 500$)
-Scratches in the fairing due to lowside, refer to the pics
-Some scratches on the frame, not sure how they got there but it was there when I bought it.
-Fuel Injection light is on, I am waiting for a servo buddy that I ordered to get rid of it, either will provide it to the buyer or put it on if I get it before I sell the bike.
List of Mods:
-Brembo Master Cylinder, I want to say it is the Brembo 19x18
-Ohlins Shock and front cartridges, sprung for 180/190 pound rider as I understand.
-Arkra Slip on exhaust
-power commander
-steel brake lines with EBC HH pads.
-Front tire is a SC1 DOT with some decent life left and rear is a Diablo superbike slick. ( I can take the slick off and mount a take off DOT tire if the buy wants street tires)
-GPR steering damper.
-HID low beam
-Sato Racing rear sets( has slight damage to them, look at pics)
-aftermarket levers
Maintenance:
-Coolant Change/System flush, March 1st, 2013 at 11023 miles
-Oil Change, March 1st, 2013 at 11023 miles
-Brake Fluid Flush, March 1st, 2013 at 11023 miles.
-Oil Change, July 3, 2013 at 12500 miles
-Front Pads and Fluid Change, July 3rd, 2013 at 12500 miles
-Brake Fluid Flush, Sept. 26th, 2013 at 13300 miles
-Oil Change, April 10th, 2014 at 14450 miles
-Brake Fluid Flush, May 30th, 2014 at 15535 miles
