Honda’s legendary sport touring bike is WAY ahead of the competition with its VTEC motor, front and rear linked braking and optional ABS($1,000 upgrade). Only now are the sport bikes starting to get these features. This is THE best bike I have ever had and I hate to see it go but I don’t have the time to ride it anymore. She’s perfect for throwing on your bags and passenger and going comfortably up the coast for days, carving the canyons with a passenger and laughing at your Gixxer riding buddies as they try to keep up, or heading out to Thunder Hill Raceway for a day at the track. I’ve done ‘em all and the VFR just wants to know what’s next.
Conti Road Attack tire’s are probably the best all around tires I’ve ridden and have 75%-80% tread left. The bike is mostly stock to preserve that Honda reliability. I removed the gaudy mud fender in the rear (included in sale if you want it), and slightly modified the exhaust to give it that throaty V8 sound (deep and growly but not loud.) The single sided swing arm not only looks trick but it makes changing the tire super easy.
In full disclosure, there are some minor cosmetic scratches on the right side where I pulled a rookie move coming out of a gas station and dropped it at less than 3 mph. Blue Book is $5,905. I’ll consider reasonable offers. The picture show below IS the side with the scratches.
