2000 R6 sparkplug question

Going to work on the R6 (it just hit 10000). Going to replace the sparkplugs and ordered NGK CR10EK sparkplugs. Just realized now I need NGK CR9EK (for California). Can I still use the CR10EKs? If not I'll go ahead and return them (already on their way) but just wanted to see if it was okay to use them in a California R6.

they last a lot longer, draw less power/volts/watts/whatever from the system, have a more controlled spark (cause the elecrtode & ground are much smaller), offer better throttle response in the lower revs. a lot of bikes come with them from the factory, cbr600 since 99, the 929/954/1000rr, the zx-10 since 04, etc....

Thanks elskipador!! :thumbup :cool

As mentioned I'm going to do some basic maintenance on the 2000 R6 as it just hit 10000 miles. I'm planning on doing the following (among other things such as oil/oil filter change, replace brake fluids, ...etc.:
- coolant flush
- air filter cleaning/replacement
- sparkplug replacement
- replace fuel filter
- carb sync

Recently I've noticed an issue with the R6 when riding in any gear in any RPM range that the bike would 'bog' or hesitate. It almost seems like a fuel issue and I have checked the fuel lines and none of them are pinched or clogged. Fuel filter is still good (going to replace it anyways), bike idles fine, and throttle response is still crisp. I'm thinking perhaps it might be a jetting issue or perhaps dirty carbs? If this is the case I might just not try to do the maintenance myself and take it to the shop ....or maybe hire you (if you are ever in the South Bay). What do you think? Appreciate your feedback and time braddah!! :smoking
