This is what BOTH of the pegs look like now. Notice the aluminum curled off the back side of the peg. Now that is how to ride a 2 stroke!!

Been to Sears and T-Hill with it to find that one out.

Have you checked your laptimes on the MC21? Because it really bothers me that no NSR250s compete in 250 Superbike. :teeth

Here's my old '90 NSR250 ('90 was first year of the trick MC21) streetbike from when I lived in Tokyo. It was a standard R model (derestricted of course) but my NSR-expert friend helped fit the more-adjustable forks and dry clutch from an SE model. Add an Ohlins rear shock, WP steering damper, and Michelin Hi-Sport Race 3 tires (Michelin's best street tire of the 1997 timeframe), it was pure sex on wheels when the road got twisty. :cool

I did not get a clock on it. But I think like 2:03.5 or something like that.
Hopefully next year My better half Kathryn will be running HER MC21SP in 250 superbike.
I would race mine but it is plated and is just too darn nice to kill it on the track. I think there is a guy who ran 45.5's at the last sears. He competed in Formula Pacific and did not finish last.

A KR sighting is about as rare as seeing Bigfoot.

Where do you find spares?

Spares? What spares? :laughing

I've been haunting Okshon.com for 6 months now. I've missed out on the only set of new pistons that've been put up for bid, but I have emptied my bank account out buying various fairing bits, and a bottom end.

Oh, and Australia is an option as well. Not a lot of new parts left, but at least they write in English. :teeth

If you contact CW Racing in Campbell California he can probably measure your piston. He mostly does dirt 2-strokes. He does boring and porting. He can probably match up your piston with an off the shelf weisco or something. You juast need to match the wrist pin and skirt sizes. Should be fairly straight forward. He might have to trim the skirt. Check it out he has been doing 2 stroke for well over 20 years.

My NSR - RS 250 front end, custom modded Tyga pipes (I did these before Tyga offered their GP version.), Penske, NSR 150 upper modded to fit - this was the original that Tyga used to make their 'glass version.
It was such a cool bike. I miss it...

I started out on a 2000 RS50 and then moved up to this '97 RS250. It was an Italian-market street version. Good times.
