1/27 Rudy's Birthday Ride, West Bay/La Honda Area

Hey guys, for my birthday, I'd like to show you my favorite roads on the Peninsula! Highlights are CA 84 and Bear Creek Road.

Let's meet at the Skywood Trading Post parking lot (across the street from Alice's at Four Corners) at 10 am on Saturday Jan. 27th. Be gassed and ready to go, KSU at 10:15 am.

I'll be on a silver sv1000, wearing blue leathers and a highlighter yellow helmet.

This will be a spirited ride, not recommended for beginners.

Bring snacks and some water.

Route is 112 miles with no planned gas stops. Depending on how people feel, we might do Bear Creek Rd twice (adding 43 miles, part of CA 9, and a gas stop in Boulder Creek).

Rain cancels the ride.

Hey Rudy, if you want to celebrate the big day with a group, come half an hour earlier and do Mehran's run. Not as fast as what you had in mind, more intermediate pace, but it'll cover a similar route. Lunch in Davenport, I'll buy you a birthday pastry :thumbup

At 27, that's too large a group for me. Plus, Bear Creek Road is something I absolutely want to hit, and that ride only lists the area codes it's passing through.

If I see a large herd of bikes in Davenport, I'll stop in to say hi.

Went on one of Mehrans Marin County rides. 56 bikes. And it went very smooth and was a ton of fun.:thumbup:teeth
