I recently talked to someone that works at coinbase about the whole mining thing. Apparently it's really not worth doing on your own. You can buy into some sort of cooperative mining Farm.
Solo operation never makes profit considering electricity cost out of your own home. Also apparently a lot of the mining machines are obsolete by the time they reach the states
I remember when me and my friends bought a bunch of bitcoins when they were like ~$2-3. Like about $400 worth..... Too bad we got rid of them at like $8.

Seems it happened so there must be a logical explanation. The question is are people 2 years from now going to look back and ask why didn't I load up in the summer of 2017.
