the NS400R. I just need to paint the upper. I have the rest of the body work new in the boxes. You can see the honda boxes in the background.

Here is a shot of my bikes with my honeys nsr250 racebike. The pile of parts in the foreground is another NS400R. That is right we have 2 of each 250 and 400.

We have 5 Kawasaki Triples AND a Suzuki GT250. Most of the Kawi's are im mid restoration save for the 500. I am going to leave it stock(it is still oem paint) and just put in a new crank.
My honey pie and I are motrcycle nuts.
Half of the 2 stokes are HERS.
Thanks,
Skipp

Have you seen the Cagiva Mito?
It is the bike Ducauti styled the 916 after.
Yes that is right the Mito came first. (apparently I am talking out my ass.. see below)
Sweet little ride.

The Mito may have come out in 1991, but it didn't look like a 916 until 1995 with the Mito Evoluzione. The 916 first hit in late 93.

The Mito had it's bodywork retrofitted in '95 because everyone wanted a 916 in '95 (the year the 916 won WSBK) and they were way too expensive (plus, 16 year-olds could not legally ride a 916...but they could ride the 125cc Mito).

So, nice try, but the 916 was not designed to copy the Mito.

This is what the Mito looked like in 94:

I am going to hijack this thread a little:
I am considering getting a friend's RGV250 Wolf as a first bike. I am not a complete newb, I just don't have much street experience but a fair amount of time doing dirt and supermoto. I am mainly concerned about reliability of an older two stoke (am I going to be wrenching every night?) and the off-on powerband in the city.

Thanks for any and all advice,
Jake

AHHH thats BAD ASS DUDE.
I have always wanted a RG500 been lookin too. The NS400s kinda fell into my lap. The first NS400R was basically a gift.
I paid $1,500 for it including $2,750.00 in new OEM honda parts. Everything but the upper and left tail piece(back ordered).

I would love a RG500 but I do not have $10K to squirt off on one.
I wanna RZ500 and a 350 too.
I am a little nuts about 2 strokes!!

I stand corrected on the mito. I was mis informed at Monroe motors when I was looking at one in 2000. I bought a ZX12R instead.

I give it a 2 :thumbup

I had one and it was VERY fun and very flickable. I couldn't help but grin ear to ear when hitting the powerband, just be sure to hold on tight! :teeth

I would say that if it's currently running good, has good compression and is a solid bike, go for it. Small 2 strokes don't require alot of maintenance and are very fun to ride.
Oh, and make sure the title and registration is completely sorted BEFORE you buy it.

Bonz, I'll post up some on another thread, so's we don't completely hijack Skippy's thread :)
