Good day of racing. Bumping some die antwoord in binders honor.

Joe Roberts on podium was cool. I was hoping for a win but bastianini is on another level this season. Also coll to see S.LOW doing well. At least one of the Lowes brothers is kicking ass

Thrilled for Joe Roberts. Even though the race was boring, I was still all tense hoping he wouldn't encounter tire problems or a mechanical failure or a meteor falling from the sky or a banana peel or anything.

Wildly impressive win for Binder and KTM. Now they head for their home races with a ton of momentum. All with a steel frame and their own suspension which some experts claimed would never work in the top class. Makes a good story into a great one.

Very happy for SuperChill Mobidelli to get out of the shadow of the other Yamaha riders and show his potential. Smart race by Quartararo to take what he could get. Thats how championships are won. Zarco's podium will keep people guessing about the most enigmatic rider in the paddock. Railing that long lap penalty lane so precisely and not losing any positions is going to make the season highlight reel. And a pole and podium is damn good for the Avintia team which doesn't get much respect.

Glad to see Rossi and Rins (especially) dig deep and climb through the field. Really rough weekend for Ducati Factory and Pramac at what should have been a good track for them. Adds some intrigue heading into the next two races. As for Viñales going backward, maybe we should just assume he's going to do that for 25 or 35% of the races; like a talented quarterback that always seems throw interceptions on 4th quarter drives.

I can’t wait to see the Yamahas grenade!

I’m really rooting for KTM this season.

Yeah, great to see KTM disrupt the old guard. Amazing they've taken the top step so quickly. Too bad for Brivio...

Looks like you'll continue to be disappointed waiting for grenades. Sounded like it was some small glitch with the pneumatic valves that's easily solved for.

Hell of a race, you could really see how bumpy it is. Repsol full on cornholed lol.

Rins has the best riding style, looks like he is on a Sunday putt.

Dang, Yamaha 1-2-3 in the Riders Championship, 1-2 in the Teams Championship, and 1 in the Constructors.

If Rossi’s engine didn’t let go and he did finish 10th at round 1, it would’ve been Yamaha 1-2-3-4 in the Riders :wow

I forget who said it last year, but the point was basically that Yamaha’s problem isn’t the bike. Their problem is Marc Márquez being so good in spite of the RC213V.

It would be cool to see MM go to the KTM. It appears incredible stable on the brakes, can stick a corner entry, and looks like it can get off a corner and go with the best of them.

I can just see the headlines... Trellis all about it... KTM steels MotoGp win!!!

Still steel but not really trellis anymore. It’s more like a steel version of the common MotoGP aluminum frames.

Probably their biggest change in the 2019/2020 off season which is why I think they’ve made the greatest gain in the off season.
That Pedrobot feedback must have made such a difference vs Mika’s.

Re: Aprilia

They’ve really got to look at KTM and ask themselves if they can be that committed.

If so, they’ve got to get a real factory team together along with a legit test rider and a #1 factory rider.
I have doubts The Maniac will be back and if he does return, can he be as fast or faster than when he got suspended.
Asparagus is not a #1 rider, but more like a solid #2 that can disrupt the mid pack enough to let the lead pack to pull gap.

The problem is that no legit #1 rider would be willing to take that seat at Ape until they field a competitive bike. Cal would be their best shot, but he wouldn’t be a #1 on any other team.

Kind of a Catch 22

Ducati being sour grapes:

Paulo Cibatti said:
Pol went wide and Johann made his normal trajectory inside. When a rider goes wide, before returning to the trajectory he has to look, because he is not alone on the track ”.

Bullshit...

The rider making the pass has to do it responsibly.

Simon Crafar summed up the pass pretty good and Zarco is in the wrong.

There were reports back in January that Aprilia plans to bring the MotoGP inhouse and run a full factory effort in 2022 with the possibility of Gresini remaining as a satellite team should enough grid positions be available.

It will be hard to match KTM's commitment. KTM top management has said since the start of the MotoGP project they want to beat Honda. Other manufacturers aren't even mentioned. They just want to put a beat down on Honda. I would describe their approach as a vendetta; which is pretty damn cool.

Simon later posted on Twitter that after he saw the helicopter view, he changed his mind and no longer feels the collision was Zarco's fault.

@simoncrafar
I've just seen the helicopter view (I didn't in pitlane).
The line needs to be a bit wide 'mid turn' turn 1 but Pol went wide on entry.
I apologise @JohannZarco1 and all who thought so, I was wrong on the commentary.
