Simple question. I got a speeding infraction yesterday. The officer gave me the ticket I did a quick scribble and the officer began to give me shit about that not being my proper signature. From what I know about citations, you don’t even have to sign (I’m aware you can be arrested for that). It’s just you stating that you will appear on the date. Obviously he wasn’t pleased I scribbled quickly but that’s my signature. Isn’t it the same thing as someone going to the supermarket, using a credit card and signing a line?
