As I'm finding out! $700 for the rifle, $1.2 million for the accessories.

Dumb Q: using a red dot, the front AR sight won't be in the way?

mine has a troy flip up sight in the handguard, others simply mount it a little higher. then you use a QD to pop off red dot when you need to go old-school

No, because you are focusing downrange. Same with a magnified scope, which usually has its focus set for 100y or 200y. Focus on this text. Hold your finger up in front. It's not nearly that bad.

Having the red dot cowitness the irons (using a fold down rear) gives the option of using the iron's if the electronics fail on you. I never see the front sight post when using a red dot, well maybe a little blur thats it.

Am I the only one looking at that picture going "yup....yup...yup...nope...yup...nope...[new tab>amazon.com]"? :laughing

nope.

I have a rear flip up that I keep down when using my eotech. When I first got the gun I was very happy to learn that the red dot was perfectly matched to the fixed front sight. However, when I am on the iron sites, I turn the eotech off and flip up the rear. No problems at all.

I've also heard good things about Primary Arms. It's an Aimpoint clone, I guess. 2moa dot for under $100!
