I don't see a problem with it, Dave. However, I want to encourage anyone leaving mementos to please be careful! The last thing we need is a distracted driver hitting another BARFer who is trying to pay his/her respects.

I completely agree. I left everything out of sight.

Anything learned from the accident would be something i think he would want any of us to know for our own riding...

How come four people have voted yes but haven't given any reason why it shouldn't be posted? Come on people, if you don't care enough to say what your reason is, then don't bother voting.

I'd like to know so that when I ride by, I can give 'the wave.' I do that everytime I ride by a spot I know a rider went down. Gone, but not forgotten.

Your poll choices are conflicting with the topic question.

I read the thread topic, then voted wrong :p

I think its nice to have a roadside marker.

I think I voted wrong. I'd like to see it posted. I know I say something to Troy every time I pass his tree, and occasionally to Ilya if I get that far up the 101.

I dont see why there would be any negative reasons to post it. I too like to give a wave or a nod and thoughts to any rider i know who has gone down in a particular area. Its my way of keeping them with me as i ride. I find it completely respectful and it could be something we could learn from like someone said.

I vote "YES" but I read the question wrong. No, there wouldn't be anything wrong to post up where Dave went down. The reason for this is that it's a visual reminder for everyone to slow down, be careful and ride safely. Lets let this accident scene remind us that we're all vunerable and that life is way to short. I'm sure Phuzzy3D wouldn't mind us learning a lesson from his tragic accident.

As I ride in the hillls and past the sites of Troy, Adam and Ilya I let off the gas because those sites are proof that no matter how skilled you are, accidents don't discriminate.

Ride safely out there guys. There'll always be someone that will miss you.

I have a feeling I know where it is based on the amount of flare ashes still on the road on Sunday.

In any case, I think it is a great idea for us to be able to smile at David on the way up and down 9.
