And just in case anybody was hoping to bypass the closure and is a dummy like me who doesn't know that National Forest Road closures don't show up on the Caltrans (or Google maps) list of closed roads, Naciemento Ferguson has been closed since it looks like 2019.

By the way, any chance you’re taking that Alta to metcalf Saturday? I’ve been dying to see one and am taking my kids their Saturday morning. I seem to remember you ride there a Lot but could be wrong.

Metcalf is likely Saturday. It’s really close... I tend to get there at 10:30 ish and park by the ranger station...

It was open last year (2020). We used it and checked out the campsites at the top, on our way through Fort Hunter Liggitt to Jolon

Weird, all I know is that 1) it was closed as of 1/2021 and 2) what the Forest Service page I linked says. See what I mean about this stuff being so hard to parse!
