Why do you assume, that should the no doubt extremely expensive tech becomes available, they (who ever they may be) will have any desire to resurrect many century old corpsicles who won't speak the current language, have no idea of the current social mores, and are broke?
i would hope within 100-200 years we would be still speaking the same language, seeing as english has been the lingua franca for longer than that.
also, there are different levels of consciousness that they discuss with you before you enroll into the program and a life insurance plan that pays for the expenses of cryogenic maintenance and reanimation.
i mean, if you dont give a shit to see how the world turns out in a few hundred years, by all means, go and rot in the ground. i for one want to be a part of the future because i really like living. even if enrolling in a cryonics program gives you a 1% chance at being able to see what the future holds, isnt it worth it?
its not for everyone. some people want to die because they dont want to wake up one day and all their loved ones will be gone, but i have a different outlook on the situation and i would prefer to live forever; even if my consciousness is confined to a computer program and not a fully functional organic being.
