Budman, or anyone else. Can you tell us how Barf ended up with the green two finger smiley face as a logo? Also have you ever thought about any other branding? I love BARF, but just can not bring myself to wear or fly anything with that logo. I've bought it, just not used it.

Tom,

It was a standard smilie in the VBulletin software. It was grasped onto by early members as something they liked and the two finger photo op was and has been something we have seen for almost barf's entire existence.

We have other branding for sure. The standard logo is really our branded logo. People confuse the twofinger as barf's official branding ... it is not.

Recently we added the AMA logo as an official branded logo. I have shirts in a drawer idling to be sold. However the wife's health has precluded really getting them up and for sale.

Definition of the twofinger as I see it.

Screw living life on the couch. I choose to ride :twofinger

In the beginning my wife hated it. I put it on my leathers (as for forgiveness deal). I used to circle her when I came home so she could not see the back.
Then one day when she was going thru the closet she saw it. I got the "what the hell?... When are you going to grow up?? ..that is so disrespectful"

I explained the definition above and after a bit she cooled her jets and got it. When we did stickers they were very popular and still seem to be.

There you go.!

If you want an AMA/BARF shirt you can reach out to me and we will figure it out.

We are also doing a special run of stickers and a shirt where the bux are being donated to the Hayden Family Foundation.
I am trying to get permission first.

This logo will appear on the front left chest and artwork is being done now for the back. All $ except the actual cost of just the T shirt itself will be donated. That includes teh artwork cost and the printing. There is sticker run being done now of the logo and all the $$ include printing will be donated as well. I am paying for the stickers and whatever is donated will go to the Hayden Charity Organization.

Totally get that Charles. I know you are not alone.

Others enjoy it. Diversity of opinions.
I have been asked by several folks to make stickers of them in different colors.

I think many times it is an age thing although I know plenty of folks that still enjoy flying the bird with a big smile. I blame Dennis Hopper. :x

See collage poster at the bottom of this post

Yea some might think :rideit offends their sensibilities, but it is what it is...
Ya don't have to sport it.
Me , I could care less what someone's offended by.
Different times different things and styles come and go.
It's part of teh barfs early days. Retro if you will.:ride:teeth

I love that our Baja shirts sported the barf AMA symbol. I like the :twofinger uy well enough but I run in different circles and the green guy could be misunderstood.

I invented the internet term 'ninja edit'

True story.

Oh, and also to the guy who doesn't like the BARF symbol, :twofinger

But yeah, like others said, that smiley has been around since for freakin ever on vBulletin based forums.

Cool story bro.
I find that bad punctuation...

Its a offensive style and represents low class

Kidding. We seem to be kinda stuck with the cactus and smiley.

I understand both sides of the offensive spectrum. For me I think it's a release of sorts just as Budman stated. Don't take things too seriously and my goodness get your asses out and ride, explore, go places and do things

Our society has become far too sensitive and ready to cry foul at some of the most inconsequential things. If it isn't your thing, don't rock it end of story :ride

Oh and yes I will purchase several stickers and shirts for Hayden. Nicely done!

I read it as ;
"F*ck ya, if you can't take a joke"...... which seems to be an accurate representation of many moto riders attitude toward life ;)

Thanks for fixing that! I couldn't care less about what offends others.
Like was said above^ Soooooo sensitive and everyone runs for the safe spaces.
OMG that's offensive and how dare you, and give me a coloring book wheres my puppy.

Geez its just a smiley face flipping the bird.
Back in the olden times of teh barf it was everywhere.
People posted pictures of them showing the finger.
Its but merely a gesture in jest not to call someone something horrible.
Hey you filthy mudder chucker.:twofinger
