Where to do (legal) shenanigans around Brisbane?

Ola,

I am looking for a few places around Brisbane that would have a mix of dirt and asphalt and would be legal. Doesn't have to be crazy at all.

Anybody?
Bueller?

PS: I did a search already, and most of the posts are way old so I figured I'd ask again.

I doubt there's anywhere you can legally do it. Doesn't mean you can't get away with it, but probably illegal unless you find a track somewhere.

That's what it seems. I was just wondering if there was afire road going around San Bruno mountain for instance of something like that.

None are open to motor vehicles. You'll have to go significantly down the peninsula to find any publicly accessible dirt.

Any specifics? Depending how far it is, it could still work for me.

Legal fire roads? For a plated bike, probably the nearest is Alpine Rd passed Portola (but they're in the process of paving more of it). Non-plated? Good luck. Metcalf would be your best bet.

If you just want to screw around, find a business park on the weekend and go for it. Worst the owner can really do is call you on the trespassing. Be polite, pack up and leave. You might get hassled by the cops if you're making too much noise, dust or leaving skid marks, but there's not much they can do.
