I gotta say I am screwed, ever since I saw my friends did wheelie in front of me, I am addicted and I always wanted to see more.

Now, it has gone beyond addiction: I HAVE TO BE ABLE TO DO IT MYSELF!! Yes, and my mind can not be changed. I understand the technique and kind of able to bring the bike up half the time but practicing alone is discouraging sometimes. Anyone doing the same thing? I have most perfect spot imaginable in San Jose for this, hit me up?

btw, anyone wanna practice in a completely empty, invisible parking lot?

As you have probably seen we have our squid days from time to time. We basically just get together and do stunts, or try to anyways....

We've been looking for a new spot, the next time we have one we'll definitely let you know and check out your spot.

I actually PM'd BTB to see if they wanna have a "squid day" this coming sunday. BTB is Barfs own stuntah crew. I think he's busy getting Port4mance drunk to respond......


oh, STUNTS are VERY addicting, you just cant try one......

Oh hell yeah. San Jose would be great. That drive from Santa Cruz to Oakland killed me last time. I know what you mean about getting addicted. I try wheelies every single day on my way to and from work. I have even been trying them on more public roads. And sometimes a break does you well. I was just in Texas for 1 week and when I git back I forgot what I was doing wrong before I left. The bike just seemed to come up and carry. So if you are trying them daily and can't pull it off then you might try waiting a few days then trying it again. Oh yeah instance they are still not any higher than 10:30 but one day.

wheelie practice place / san mateo area

well my friends and i once went to canada road which parallels 280 and although sherriff occasionally cruise on this road they saw us but did not stop us. this road can be accessed at the 92 / 280 intersect or just take 280, exit edgewood and head west and it will hit the road.

the areas between 92 and edgewood by the filoli estate area is nice and when you get tired you can go to the water temple and get a drink of water.

this place is not residential or commercial, its just a road that runs parallel to 280 in the middle of nowhere, runs along the crytal springs reservoir.

i think there are too many pedestrians and bicyclists in the canada rd. area to make it a good stunting ground on the weekends. AFAIK they close off the part btwn the turn off to 92 and the edgewood exit specifically for the weekend warrior excercisers.

i'm looking arond my area but haven't found any decent places away from any sort of traffic. there might be a place in SSF but a UPS station is around there so Saturday is a no go for that particular spot.

Here's the location, don't show up if you will liter or vandalize. Show up this Sunday or everyday at 6pm:

Here's direction:
880 Exit at Mc Carthy Blvd
Turn right into McCarthy Ranch (Huge plaza)
Keep going pass Walmart
Make first right into large empty parking lot
Skip the first ocupied building, the next 8 buildings are not occupied. Go to the centerred where you are blocked off from all views.


Descriptions:
1 mile long perfect asphault
no traffics or people
one half of the place is invisible from 4 sides

I don't know if you guys want to ride up this far but my bro-in -law's friends go do wheelies and stuff over in the industrial parts of benecia or in cordelia. No cops really bother them there and looooooong straight roads.

instead of posting. u might wanna just have peeps email u for directions and times since all can read including PoPo's. i've practiced there too and they sometimes have PoPo posting up between the buildings as well. ride safe.
