I had to call my Buddy ( I wont mention his name) who will be racing AMA 600 SuperSport next weekend to let him know that I will not be able to work the pits for him like I always do. It was tough call I know he had to spend money on my registration etc: to get me in as crew. I call him Wednesday before race I apologized and told him I would make it up to him. He was understading , even let me borrow his awesome expensive camera to take with me.

Your probably asking what would make me miss a spectacular event like this thats all paid for , a chance to rub elbows with legends and up coming stars?

I wont go into details but I just booked an all expense paid trip to Philippines for 3+ weeks at separate exclusive 4 star hotels. Will get to travel the counrty side like Ive always wanted to do in Europe but never got a chance.Did I mention all expense paid? I will be going alone, but its not my first time there.

I havent had a vacation in years, just recently been laid off after 10+ years at company I was loyal to, financial circumstances resulted in me selling my 690 SMC a few weeks ago, bill collectors calling, unemployment hasnt even kicked in, X-wife hounding me, I dont have insurance so I cant really ride as hard as I want to. The list goes on and on...

Addressed to seasoned divorced riders that has been around a while. You know how we tend to get caught up in corporate world, hustle and bustle of trying to make a living, pay the bills, the days turn into weeks the weeks into months and months into years and you look back and wonder what the hell happened.

Im going because I really need this time to get away from it all, to maybe put things in perspective think about current life path, change of career, forget about all things going on in my life, not run away from it but to dis-engage temporarily, possibly be more thankful on what I have once I see how bad things are in another part of the world. Rejuvinate my soul. OR.....

Fuck it...im gonna party like a rock star, roll in there typical former Marine fashion, American attitude, flash the cash, break hearts, live for today like there is no tomorrow.I know some Philippines website that have riders doing trackdays there maybe I can borrow or rent a bike and gear, if anyone has more info on this i appreciate it. I will be checking in occasionaly from hotel room.

Thoughts? BTW im leaving 10pm tonight...Hopefully some good reading when I get back.

Opppps motojam is not this weekend....I still wont make it. I cant edit the title. :)

Like you said, F it and party like a rockstar. :thumbup And like others replied, don't get caught and catch anything. :laughing Enjoy! :party

I'd go to http://www.motorcyclephilippines.com/ to inquire about trackdays with bike rentals. I hear a lot about BRC (Batangas Racing Circuit) and there's also Clark Speedway Circuit at the former US Air Base.

I'm so jealous, but I'll have my opportunity in Jan or Feb of next year.
