Michelin Pilot Power 2ct or Michelin pilot road 2ct. What tires should i get? I commute to school and work only 20min a day but i do twisty once in a while. so my question is what tire should i buy? A set of the powers are 250 and a set of the road is 300. Which is the better buy?

meh.
Pilot road. They have enough grip for all practical purposes, and last a lot longer than the pilot powers.

Road 2. You will not exceed the capabilities of those tires on the street, and the tire life will amaze you. The Road 2s will last almost twice as long as the Power 2ct

For commuting and a rare trip into the hills? Pirelli Diablo for $199 for the set - great for our "winter".

I'm seriously considering picking up a set and keeping them in my garage, but I Just put on a brand new set of BT-016s.

How do they perform compared to a tire like the BT-016 and 2ct?

I've had the 2ct, and now on the bt-016 but never the corsa.

It brings into question your technical knowledge when your tires are "Metzeler Roadsmarts." Dunlop makes the Roadsmarts.

FWIW i have a buddy at work that rides a C14, as the bike was advertised; SPORT touring. The fella can boogie all day with 'em, at a fairly spirited pace. He commutes from empire grade and through the SC mountains for work. So far he has abt. 5-6 k miles with a little more than a 1/4 tread left all a round.

Another fella at work who rides a C14 lives in Bear Creek and commutes to SC for work. Rides quite a bit more mellow and has abt 7.5 miles with about 1/2 tread remaining.

I'm running a set myself and commute from aptos to SC with a little bit of a post work ride to mellow out on 9. i've put about 3.5k miles on 'em and i don't notice any significant signs of wear down the center. There is noticeable wear on the shoulders.

for the money, i would get the PR2CTs. Its very doubtful you'll ever intentionally push past the traction limit of the tire.

STG has some deals on michelins.

Michelin Pilot Power 2ct

depends on your focus, slab or twisties

confidence and traction are more important than how long they will last...

my power pilots lasted 5k miles, the only con with the non 2ct pilot powers is they will flatten in the center as they wear because that area makes more regular contact. the 2ct they fixed that issue with dual compounds. i like the pilots because they warm up quickly. the power pilots side grip is exceptionally.. i wore the rotational mounting arrows off the very edges of mine.

tires are far less expensive than body parts, yours and your bikes.

alternatively, for winter, you may want to go with the prielli scorpion sync or diablo or the michelin pilot road 2.. the pilot power is not the best wet surface tire... the sync would not be good for your bike, it is best for nakeds and sm..... .. i only use my pilots in the post rain spring and summer on the bike they are on... as they really will slip a bit in the wet..
