What the hell is wrong with me? I rode all day and I want more!

Is it tomorrow yet? Can I get out and ride some more? I've been doing this ish for 38 years and I still can't get enough. The more technical the better. I love me some tight twisty mountain roads, the tighter the better, and thankfully we've got'em in spades here in and around the Bay Area. My biggest gripe are the slow cars in front of me, but more and more I find drivers who pull over, they don't even have to slow down, they just move over and let me by... A wave and a big thanks as I glide on past. Gotta love CA riding... Is it morning yet?

Doc V,
Been riding 54 years and it does not subside. I go through motorcycle withdrawal and start Jones’ing to go for a ride if I am off it for more than a day or so. I dislike taking family vacations away from home,......I am away from my bike(s) too long! I do not know what will become of my psyche when the day comes when I have to hang up my helmet. A day without a ride is a day wasted!

How about small displacement dirt bike, something to push up long greasy inclines, with rock gardens to glide thru, bonus snow?

I grew up doing that, Honda 90 & enduros

I was tired @ end of day

Morning matters done, heading out again... Yes, yes we are sick. Ain't it great?!
Would love me some single track dirt biking, but I'm surrounded by millions of motorists, so I suppose I'll stick to the asphalt. Dog, that's encouraging to hear. Sorta. As long as the family is OK with it; but yes, I too ride daily and start to feel itchy if I don't ride. Alright... I'm out of here. My bike gets bitchy if I make it wait too long.

I have the same itch, I never want to turn back and go home. When I finally got a good chunk of time I planned a huge ride so that I would ride until I didn't want to ride anymore. Ended up doing 2,300 mile loop in 16 days this time last year.

I'm planning a similar trip now to depart in 2 weeks. There is no cure.

In the last 2 weeks, I've had a 1000 mile weekend, then a 200 mile Thur, a 500 mile Friday and a 5 hour dirtbike ride Satuday and another 400 mile ride next saturday, Tires are getting expensive. Weather is nice. Roads are great. Keep riding!
