Weird Rider Behaviour

On the commute home yesterday I noticed a rider stopped in the 3ft wide shoulder of the very fast 87S to 85N connector. He was right in the middle of the connector, perhaps 300yards from the split.

I pulled in an stopped (thinking gas / mechanical issue). As I approached I noticed he was paddling back down the ramp !?!. I asked did he need help and he waved me off saying he was fine...

I didn't think to challenge him as traffic was passing at 70+mph and decided to gtf out of there. The only reason for him being there (that I can come up with) is stupidity.....

So it sounds like he was back peddling down the ramp because he missed his exit?

Damn doooood so you missed your ramp, even better way to just keep the ride going longer..:ride
Before someone mentions it Don't bring up he probably had to poop real bad scenario.
Barfers don't back peddle down a freeway off ramp.

Just take the next exit? This peeves me a lot actually. You see cars on the highway cutting over 2 or 3 lanes last minute, sometimes going into the split, just to make an exit. Why not just take the next one and circle back...... it's not that much more time.

Wow:wtf So much speculation and opinion on a situation you know nothing about. Maybe he didn't talk because he didn't want to be bothered.

It's on the same level as the guy that says "Oh shit, that's my exit!" and swings it across 4 lanes to make the exit in a cloud of dust as he barely misses the barrels.
There's nearly always a perfectly good off ramp about 1/4 mile down the road.

I'm going with this one. Happened to me just yesterday. I made it home with one second to spare.

you think that, but your body unconsciously knows when you're getting closer to home, and your sphincter will actually start to release when getting closer to a known bathroom area.

Gonna echo all the people here who say just take the next exit. There's almost always another one 1/4 mile up the road. You'll lose what, a couple minutes? Not worth saving that time by putting other people, and yourself, in danger.
