Two piece leathers OK???

Never done a track day before, and am going out to buy leathers... Do the tracks accept two piece leathers for track days??? (Alpinestars TZ1, 2 piece, is what I'm going to buy)

I don't plan to start racing, so I'd rather not buy a full 1 piece suit, but I'm not sure what the regulations are....

Thx.

Yeah. I've never heard of anyone being kicked off for a two piece with a 360 deg zipper. Hell, my dad has run a Ballistic suit (Novice group) w/ an 8in zipper w/ special permission. He bought a full suit now, so he's "golden" as he likes to say.

You won't have any problems with that suit. It zips 360 around so your all good! Where are you going to but the suit at? If your from the bay, I suggest Motostrano. Pretty good prices, and nice people there

Make sure they zip at least 3/4 of the way around! A 360 degree zip is preferable.
OK, so my inner engineering weenie just can't stand the suspense any longer: so what IS a 360-degree zip? I have one (Teknic Chicane 2-piece) that starts 2 inches from the vertical zipper on one side and zips to within 2 inches of the vertical zipper on the other side. Does this count as 360 degrees? Are there suits that actually zip closer than this? Inquiring minds want to know. :nerd

My understanding on this is, that what you are talking about, is a 360 degree zip. Now... I could be wrong but that was my understanding on it...

The TZ1 two piece zips all the way around, but leaves an opening of about 4" at the front. I haven't seen one that goes farther, but I'm a newbie when it comes to leathers....

I have a TZ-1 jacket mated to the Astars track pants. It has the 360 degree zip, fits my fat butt pretty good, and hopefully will hold up well in the event of a get off.

You should be fine with that outfit.... :)
