Okay, my first attempt at race videos, just got new software and my first go pro, so trying to learn that, too :laughing
From Round 2 at Sonoma 5/1/16
Had been given a bunch of suggestions on changes to make Saturday night, plus had just made some suspension changes, starting to sort things out by F1:
Still need to work on my braking....but one thing at a time! Making a fair bit of progress so far, but that's next on the list besides set up issues...
I have some work to do, but I wasn't the slowest guy on the track. I'll also post my first track day at Sonoma in a few days. I did pretty good at both tracks considering I had used take offs with out tires warmers at Sonoma and got smoked for the for few laps, but they came back to me as the used tires started to come in. At Laguna ( video above ) I had some used Q3's. The old FZ1 sport touring bike did okay considering what it's main purpose is...sport touring. I'll have a few kinks worked out the next time I come back. I should be a few seconds quicker at both tracks? This is a lofty goal, but I'm determined to make some major on track and off track improvements. A dedicated track bike would make life easy, but I like being the underdog. Later Barfer's

First few laps are slow in the Sonoma videos...used cold track take offs. I had used Q3's at Laguna Seca, but they warm up a lot faster as we all know.
how did no one post in this thread in 2017?! did no one make any cool vids? well... i didnt, so look who's talkin'
buuuuuuut the season is coming; and there WILL be vids coming from me.... until then tho, check out what I consider one of my best ever trackday vids - rippin up Thill West.... the first half isnt as fast as the 2nd half, but its all good and leads up to the end so its worth a watch all the way thru - it is a 13minute video for those of you with short attention spans GTFO! the end clip is SEVERAL minutes long of just MASHIN' and getting excellent footage - such a rare thing..... check it out
First time on a real track bike. Previously only used the FZ1
I wasn't pushing it or redlining the motor. I'm sure with a set of fresh grippy slicks and banging the tach to 13kish would yield much quicker laps times...still had a blast and passed a lot of S1000RR's etc in the A group...which isn't saying a lot. Unless i'm getting down in the low 1:30's I'm not going to start bragging just yet. We'll see what my new EDR prepped 12' cbr1000rr feels like at Laguna 06/15/18. :thumbup :afm199
