Ok, writing this from an iPhone so excuse the autocorrectsP. I have a 1998 TL1000R track bike that I have had for about six months now and have my first big track day coming up on the 18th...since I purchased it I had to start it using ether, that now doesn't even help.
I turn the key and hear the fuel pump whirrr, then I press the start button and it turs over as it should, but it never fires. After a few tries it starts to smell a little like gas so I know it's getting fuel. I put new spark plugs in and took out the old ones which were dirty (I had replaced them when I got the bike and they only has about fifteen (15) miles on the bike). When I did this I also made sure the bike was making spark which it is.... I don't really know where to go from here. So it's getting fuel (too much?), and spark (too little?). Any suggestions? PLEASE HELP!!
