Normally I wear a MX helmet, Bilt jacket I bought 2 years ago :laughing and either my shiny oneal mx boots or some regular cheap road race type boots for ease of travel.

I used to for the first year I was riding wear a set of MX kneepads under my jeans but lost track of them awhile ago.

Lately on this husky I find myself going a tad faster :rolleyes than on the ole xr mainly in corner speed. I feel "naked"

I just do not ride enough to dedicate 600+ on a nice 1 piece.

So I found a cheap option;

300$ 1 piece http://www.cyclegear.com/eng/product/Monza_One-Piece_Leather_Motorcycle_Suit/web1006297

Also I know nothing about sizing unless we are measuring junk again... :x

This would be fine, who knows I may HATE a 1 piece. Never had one.

Depends on how you're built. Earlier versions are small around the thigh and the way that stitching is done means that they won't stretch in that area. I don't know if that's changed. Post height/weight/build and you'll likely get more actionable advice.

5'6" 31 waist. 150lbs. Chicken legs :)

I wear medium 90% of what I buy.

I think my built jacket is a euro 50/uk 40

if you get a chance, you can go into the SF Dainese store and just try a few off the rack suits there. They have an MV Augusta on display so u can hop on and feel how the suit is, or walk outside to your bike and see how that feels. They will also be very helpful fitting u, asking u tons of questions. from there u can get a better feeling for sizing, and head off to try other suits from other manufacturers.

I dont trust cycle gear to fit me. I got fitted a Euro Size 48 dainese jacket that i thought was too large, but the Cycle gear guys kept saying "no nono! looks great! that's how its supoosed to fit, loose! how are you going to wear a sweater under there?" - this coming from an employee that rode in on his r6 with nothing more than shorts and tanktop :(

i walked into the D-store looking for matching pants and they kept looking at me strangely, then kept asking me how the fitting was, then took a jacket off the rack and let me try it and it fit a whole lot better - size 44, two sizes smaller (it's like a 38 ---> 34).

Long story short, yeah... i'd be wary of fitting from the cyclegear guys.

Some will disagree with me, but I would avoid the 1 piece unless its for track. Most likely you'll buy it and you'll be excited and wear it everywhere. After a few months you'll realize its a hassle and you'll go back to what you're wearing now. Get a 2 piece, if you go leather, get an extra pair of pants that are textile for when its hot or you don't feel like wearing the leather pants. $300 bucks is a tight budget either way, id save a little more and keep an eye on classifieds.

Go check out the Dainese store. They have stuff on sale right now, you might be able to get a good one or two piece for less than you think.

Do you have a back protector?

I have the Cortech Latigo 1 piece. I think it's great for the money... 10x better quality than the Sedichi stuff. I got mine new for $410. Drop me a PM and I'll tell you who to email to do the same!

yeap...
I have the Cortech Latigo 1 piece, I paid a sniffle under $400 new, the price was raised since, but I believe it's still in the low $400's from where I bought it... as for sizing, I'm 5'10, ~155lbs, and I wear a small...

not where I bought it from, but this is the suit I'm talking about...

Used stuff is hardly ever more expensive than 300, just hawk the classifieds/craigslist/ebay. hit the stores to see what size you are, and try different brands, they fit differently. A* fits me much better than dainese
