Thunderhill and Rain

Was scheduled to go to Thunderhill tomorrow but with the rain and the cold I am wondering what the track will be like. I have ridden lots in the rain on the street but never on the track. Looking for some thoughts on what to expect. Looks like the rain is tapering off today in the afternoon and none through tomorrow but its still going to be a bit chilly on top of damp.

You will learn a lot riding in the rain on a track. having already ridden in the rain on the street has you at an advantage:thumbup
The only time I was at a trackday that was called at thill was because it was raining so hard the corners were getting flooded with standing water. That was years ago. Looks like fun trackdaze rides no matter what.
If you don't feel comfortable you can always sell your spot.

riding in the rain makes you really think about being smooth and deliberate with your inputs.

Damp track is fine. the thing to watch out for is running water or pooled water. and keep off the paint. Last year about this time, Thill East had a little stream in turn 2 that I'd pay attention to. People were swinging wide to avoid it.

But personally, I don't like riding in the wet with slicks. I prefer sport oriented street tires or DOTs - something with grooves in them.

Last year there was also some in Turn 8, I think towards the middle/outside.
