I'm used to dings in my pipe but.....
My FMF Fatty chamber on my CR 2smoke was so new and so pristine.
I had a minor get-off yesterday @ Carnegie and punched a big-ass dent in the fat part of the pipe.
I can't be the first one to want this fixed. Any recommendations? There's gotta be someone out there that deals with this.
....or is it "live with the aesthetics or replace the pipe"?

You can heat it with a propane torch and pressurize it with an air compressor to pop the dent out. Watch a few YouTube vids.

Unless you really can't stand the dent, just leave it. You have to really smash up a pipe before it actually effects performance; they have done dyno tests to prove it.

In addition to dents, what usually happens to my pipes is they get bent backwards, eventually it starts to kink where they come out of the manifold and really effect low end.

When they finally need to be repaired, I send them to Pacific Pipe Repair. Anyone can get the dents out, like Leo said, that part is easy. But in order to make it fit perfect again they use a jig to straighten back out.

Like I said, I don't typically worry about aesthetics on dirt bikes but this one's pretty bad.

I don't know ... $60 for the fix, and shipping to/from the repair place. Pipes take up a pretty big size box, and today's shipping seems to be box size related (bigger box, more money).

New pipe on Rockymountainatv for $234, free shipping, no tax.

vs. do it yourself.

Are there any local Bay Area places that do this kind of work?

I know, I've been there and done the math. It's not as cheap as it seems at first glance. They charge $20 for return shipping, so it's really $80 to fix the pipe, plus your shipping there. Let's just assume that's $30 (I don't remember what mine was last time)

But $110 all in to fix it is still less than half of a new $234 new pipe. :dunno

I have two FMF Gnarly's and I wait until they are both bashed up and send them together to save on shipping both ways.

Yeah, I get it... the math is pretty fucked.
If it wasn't a nearly brand new pipe I wouldn't be whining about it.

Not sure what I'm gonna do. My reflexive response is to fix it immediately.
I may just buy a new pipe and not install it yet, bash this one up some more.

That's pretty much the route I went. Then bash up the second one, and have them both repaired at the same time, then you have another 2 freshies to bash up.

I've had luck plugging one end, filling with water, plugging the other end, and then freezing. Might have to repeat a couple times depending on the size of the dent.
