warts & all, this CR Scrambler looks like a decent [if pricey] retro bike, mebbe the only alternative to the sexy new Turnips:

.....Ducati’s suspension revisions do a really nice job of creating a sporty feeling ride. I didn’t feel like action amid road imperfections was overly harsh or uncomfortable, but did notice that the bike didn’t dive or bounce under inputs like the initial versions. It’s still no race bike, but the suspension also no longer needs to be upgraded if you like spirited riding.....

As a proud XB12SS owner (also bought a Blast! new, plus owned a 2000 M2), please don't insult Erik Buell...that Ducati is HIDEOUS...
While I like the normal Ducati Scrambler, that thing is an abomination...

There isn't a SINGLE angle that bike looks good...

Officially the "retro" and "cafe" bikes have Jumped the Shark, but really Ducati Evel Kanevil'd the landing...

I see them on CL all over. Must not be all that!

The reason you see them on CL is cuz hipsters buy them for their first bikes and then don't ride them.

I think the bike looks great imo, but that number plate is a little audacious. That being said the whole duc scrambler line, despite being a group of fun mid-sized bikes, has become a fashion accessory for a bunch of new peeps.

You see them around the city or on craigslist. Never on the road.

Interesting. Have my sights set on a used XSR900 when they start hitting the used market. Too bad these will probably require more maintenance and cost more even when the hipsters start to sell them off. But you never know....

(I'm doing the left coast hipster thing too right now on my old Honda resto mod :rofl)

How to interpret Cycle World reviews:

sublime handling = the bike is pretty average

mentioning more than once that the bike feels twitchy = total piece of shit.

:laughing
