It is good. Almost too big to eat. Get one once in a while on their home made wheat.

Interesting how great deli's have come and gone on the peninsula.

- Stanford Deli (inside the Nivens market)
- Woodside Deli (after 40 years Dan sold it and it promptly collapsed, but I heard opened a few months ago)
- Can't-remember-the-name Deli in San Carlos, started by Bruce Robinson who had opened Stanford Deli
- La Villa in Willow Glenn: this one is still going strong (get the ravs!)

Old school Italian style delis them all- sausages hanging all over the place, real SF sour dough (back when they were really, ya know; sour), homemade salads and pastas

Thanks for the heads up Budman. I will swing by for Tri-Tip Sandwich!!!

Great info about being able to order from Katz's deli. I once stood in line for 2.5 HOURS at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mtn View for a Katz's Rueben (it was some Cooking Channel festival thingy). Damn, that was painful.

I've been getting a turkey and tuna sandwich from a local spot.

Back when they had dine in, they had rotating taps of some pretty awesome local beers as well.

Think I'll get another today.

Oh man, Katz's. For those who don't know, the hype is deserved. Best Pastrami on the planet. And aside from the simply incredible food, visiting that place is a quintessentially unique NYC experience.

Curious how the mail order works out.

Anyway, Don's sounds good too!

That's an obscene amount of meat. Good. Lord. :laughing

I like that you qualify my Normal as obscene. This pleases me.

I will let you know, I ordered the juicy cut pastrami Reuben package, not the Corned Beef.
