I'm gonna guess this is from CHP because normally police wouldn't fill out a citation when one is booked into jail, but from what I understand, CHP gets their case numbers from their citations. Also, the county/city would already be filled out for other agency cites.

I'd also add that 23140(a) CVC is an infraction, not a misdemeanor.

Seems like officer was stacking charges. DUI, DUI over .08, and DUI under 21. Seems like DUI over .08 would have been sufficient otherwise he is charging multiple sections for the same crime. Guess they just throw everything at it and hope one sticks. Anyway, dodge that got caught should be punished harshly. DUI is no joke, so no sympathy here.

There's an extra form with 20 lines. But since there's a report that goes to a DA, the rest of the charges are listed in the report.

The CHP cadet final exam is a video scenario traffic stop and cadets are required find all the violations and run out of room.
