Our first OPEN TRACK DAY of 2009 was a BIG success, and I'm happy to announce a VERY SPECIAL event for our second OPEN TRACK DAY of 2009...

TRACK DAY PROVIDER APPRECIATION DAY

That's right, our August 3, 2009 OPEN TRACK DAY will be our first annual "Track Day Provider Appreciation Day." I came up with the idea last year, but wasn't able to pull it all together. This year we planned, and got it done.

This day will be special because it will be the first time that anyone has ever done a Track Day Provider Appreciation day. It's long overdue...

The concept: Bring ALL THREE of the major track day providers together in ONE PLACE, ONE DAY, and invite all the riders so lucky to be able to live in the most active track day environment in the world. We'll show our appreciation to Zoom Zoom Track Days, Pacific Track Time, and Keigwins at The Track...together. Shawn Reilly, Michael Earnest, and Lance Keigwin will all attend with their wives / girlfriends, and enjoy a fun day of riding on the track - WITH YOU. They won't have to manage the event, take care of registration, tech, crash pick ups and the like. Just socialize with the riders, ride, and have a GREAT TIME - finally.

We'll have a special presentation during the riders meeting for each of the Track Day Providers...should be pretty cool. I hope you'll all come out to thank them personally for all they've done...and the literally hundreds of track days they've worked so hard to make happen for US - THE RIDERS. :cool

great idea btw, now i can get smoked by all TDP employee/owners all at once, rather than do it individually :)

Craig - you KNOW I'll be there. Nothing beats an open track day. Ride 'till you run out of gas. I put more miles on my bike during an open track day than I do on many of our group rides. Dollar per dollar it's terrific money spent when you consider how long you can be out there vs. an A-B-C group trackday.

Having the big three out there as well just throws this over the top.

Sounds like the "Big Three thanks" is a promo to get customers. Any of the "Big Three" showing up or are you using their names to sell places?

This idea has been a long time in the making. It's a sincere effort to thank Lance, Michael, and Shawn (all of whom I've ridden with and respect) for years of hard work. The service they provide is hard to put a price on, and anyone who's actually organized, managed and funded track days can attest...we owe them. :cool

We don't need to use marketing ploys - we cap the rider count on our OPEN track days, and usually sell every spot. An "OPEN" track day is about as good - and fun - as it gets, and we try to make it a great experience for all. This is all about the Big 3, and providing them the proper thanks (and a work free track day).

Hope to see some of you out there. :thumbup

I don't know what you're talking about... I think you have me confused with someone else... besides going to the track > going to work... and i still have 30 days vacation to use up. :p :teeth :twofinger
