Tech Q: DL of MMS links?

How?

I need to know how to download vids on a webpage (on local server on n/w), linked to as MMS links (Streaming video?) - for eg: like on the wrc.com page.
I think all other apps except browsers are blocked because direct-DL-managers for mms/rstp like FlashGet/NetTransport's Xi won't start (unlike on the wrc page, where you drag-drop the link and it starts transferring).

Browsing the path pointed to in the link won't return anything. Any way to script/add-on in firefox/ie/opera to 'click' on them and save orig file? Any alternatives (not capping SWs!)?

netxfer = net transport (by XiSoft) but ill checkout the latest version and see. (netxfer usually works and never fails for me but i think they have a block against it). any other ones/firefox add-ons and such?

You can just use IE, watch/buffer the video you want, and it will be in your Temp Internet Files in avi/mpg format. This will work with firefox and opera too, but you will have to find the temp directory. Good luck.

It won't take full movie lenght to have them downloaded. Once buffer reaches 100% the whole movie will be in that folder. Should be just as fast as downloading it. Worth a try.
