Tattooed French Guy Upset He Can’t Teach Kindergarten

you know this is in France, right?

I hope PC whackos don’t turn this into a discussion about zombie discrimination and that zombies have feelings and their rights are violated.

Where do you learn these words? Your knowledge of PC-dissing is quite good! :thumbup :flag

This is about letting little 5 year olds feel safe at school and not have nightmares. If you have kids, would you let them be in his classroom?

No, of course not--if there is a big problem.

My thoughts about the topic aside... your statement above seems like trolling. You emote hope that other people won’t disagree with your already firm stance on the topic before a discussion has even occurred, which you’re asking to occur? Seems duplicitous.

The teacher's judgement seems suspect to me. Tattooing the whites of your eyes to black, is putting a curtain over the window to your soul. A lot of people will question your intentions, and probably assume that you are distancing yourself from humanity. Also, promoting the story by giving interviews, greatly increases public pressure on the school to fire him.

There's definitely a psychological element of trust/confidence behind being able to see people's eyes.

Even the lowest common denominator deserves a voice to be heard. Tyranny of the major drowns out the voice of us minorities.

Deserves to be heard, yes. Absolutely. But I, for one, am kinda tired of society catering to them.
I couldn't find the actual length of time he's been teaching there, so I'm not sure how many students (or their parents) did not complain. 1/1,000? 1/15? :dunno

This certainly isn't the hill I'll die on for the principle, though. :laughing
Dude made choices, he's gotta live with them.

Diversity, I get it. Does that mean that kids should be afraid to go to school and have nightmares though?

After five looooong years in St. Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic school (1950's Virginia) I still have nightmares that involve sadistic nuns and no protection from terror.

Gimme' a tattoo plastered kind heart any day.

I wouldn't want to look at that for hours a day. I wouldn't even want to look at it for a minute. It's art, not everyone has the same taste. If you recognize that then get upset when not everyone has the same aesthetic, who's got the problem? That's what happens when people get tattooed. They're basically turning the people around then in to a captive audience.

IDK, idiotic decision on his part if you ask me.

But he's paying no price as they will have him teach older kids.

Paying no price?

Tattoos are expensive, and the amount he has, covering his body from head to toe, was probably very, very expensive.

I can see why it might be something that students have to get used to, and why it may make sense to have him teach students who are a bit older and more mature, but as long as none of the tattoos are specifically offensive (like hate symbols and similar) I don't see an issue with him teaching.

Have to agree.. let people talk without throwing a stone in their path.

On topic..

That dude has some color.. holy fuck. Dude should be in the next Star Trek movie. He looks pretty cool. Be interesting to meet him.

And.. No. I would not want him teaching my Grandkids... but that would be their call.

Sorry for using the word PC Whackos. I learned it from a pundit’s podcast who some members here dislike. I thought it was a funny term at first. I see now it’s not funny at all and very offensive. I won’t use it again. I really thought the idea of letting this abnormal guy be a kindergarten teacher is a terrible idea. I also thought this is one strange news article everyone opinions would all be agreeing. It’s so simple: Don’t let a scary teacher terrify kids in school. I guess this is just another point of view that Western societies give too much freedom and we really think it can be harmful. But the benefits of living in Western society definitely outweigh the disadvantages so I’m happy to be fortunate living here. Even though I will never understand why some of you think it’s ok for your kids to have that guy teaching your kids, I respect your opinion. I hope you can respect mine. Thanks.

I have a 3/4-ish sleeve and a huge chest piece so I do enjoy tattoos and the art that comes along with it. I dont know what this thing is and why he feels the need to teach kids looking like a demon

Exactly! I thought everyone here would think similar. It’s mind blowing!

I don’t get the joke. Why are nuns weird? Aren’t they very respected in Western culture and especially Christian culture?

Religion is not well respected in the large urban areas. There are plenty of people who respect their dedication to their belief and yeah the Christian culture is one that does.

I am sure you will find the Religion thing odd. Easy to bash this religion and exempt a different from the bashing and generally it is all over the board depending on who has a take on it.

Religion has proven to be the hardest "hate" to moderate with age a distant second.

Funny... Do you mean Eastern Societies under Saddam or Mao Tze are better?

But of course Gil

-- poli forum anyone? Just because of a random Paris/France tattoo dude.

Saddam is a dictator of Iraq and Mao is a dictator of China. If you wanted to make fun of the dictators of India just pick any one from the BJP.

What does Gil mean?

I’m surprised to learn there is hate for religion and age here. Like the younger generation disliking the older or the other way around? I haven’t seen any threads here at all showing hate for any religion and age groups.
