Tom is a strong willed man and it is inspiring to see him working on getting healthy as he can be.

The former AFM racer got hurt at work when a fork lift flipped and he broke his neck. I did not know Tom as a racer, but met him at Francesca's Sports Barf as the Karaoke man that has an awesome voice.. he could have been a Rock Star.

Now his effort is just amazing and seeing the effort he is worth keeping an eye on. :applause

I will update the thread with some additional info as I know the news was a one time shot and this is his life and while a one time shot it this story will play out over time.

I'd wager that it is based on one of the molecules from Brilliant Blue G and rat study.
In 2009 there was a report about spinal injuries in rats; if they were injected with BBG within a few hours of the initial injury, it blocked an infusion of Adenosine Triphosphate into the injury site, which prevented secondary damage, and in many cases prevented paralysis.

After reading that study, it made me want to keep a vial of BBG and a hypodermic needle in my tank bag.
This study should have been fast tracked for testing a long time ago.

Update on Tom.

Saw him Tuesday evening. He is in good spirits and indulged in a couple to celebrate his bday. He has decent use of his left arm and some with his left. The big news was seeing him move a leg. :wow

He said he just took three steps in a pool and he is inspired by his wife most of all.
He wants to thank her by recovering. A long way to go, but three baby steps had this man very happy.

Go Tom. Go.
