Hey guys
Got the common problem with these sv
Glue for rotor magnets fails, loose magnets=no charge
Stator looked ok
Glued magnets back on
Only getting around 30ac
Bought us ed Stator/ installed
Still same output

Wondering if my "fixing" the Stator didntwork or another bum Stator?
I mean one of the magnets has a chip missing but would that be enough to make it not work?
Feeling like I may just bite the bullet and buy new magneto

Thoughts? Thx

I think 60Vac (give or take) on each combination of the stator output leads is the nominal number you want to see.

With no visible damage to both stators then the rotor/magnets become questionable.

test the stator windings before you throw money at it, something obvious might come up;

i don't see the instructions in the charging system thread but from memory, you want no continuity between the 3 windings, and no continuity from any one leg to ground.

you should google that yourself though, because you can.

if the stator passes the "it should work" static tests the magnets become more suspect.

also, none of the parts under discussion are a magneto.

Jeez tough crowd. Ya. Just using dirt bike language
The rotor I repaired but 1 magnet does have a chip
Stator is fine for other tests( no short) and I have 2 stators.
Leads me to believe my repair didn't work

gone for now
The stator is supposed to have continuity (not quite a short but under 1Ohm I suspect) between any two poles. If there's no continuity there's a problem.
