Stripped Oil Pan Repair for Hire

I see that there are previous posts on the same matter, but I am currently looking for a mechanic experienced in repairing stripped oil pan/drain hole on my 690 SMC. (M12 x 1.50)

Threads are still attached inside the hole, but they have partially broken off and can be pushed around. I understand the possible options are to retap a bigger hole, time sert, or something else I haven't thought of.

Been dealing with non-stop mechanical problems on this bike for over a month now, willing to pay $ to have someone do this fix for me...I am exhausted. Traveling mechanic prefered, but can tow bike to your location as well.

PM me or call me at 925-640-1686 (Alex)

Just for info, I tapped a 12mm stripped drain plug to 1/2 inch using the correct tap for I/2 inch. If I remember correctly, you don't have to enlarge the hole, just use the tap (correctly), and it will put 1/2 inch threads into the hole, then put in a 1/2 inch drain plug from and auto parts store. Half inch American is equal to 12.7mm.

Thanks for the advice, I ended up purchasing a time-sert kit...hopefully the steel insert will prevent any future mishaps.:rolleyes
