Stay Back 200 Feet - Not Responsible for Broken Windshield

The signs are worthless. The only thing is it is hard to prove it fell off the truck. Dash cams or Gopro’s are great to dispute this stuff. If the truck is dropping rocks or dirt, then by all means they are liable. If their tires kick it up off the road it is a road hazard. I have personally replaced several windshields on my vehicles and most of the big rocks were kicked up by cars or suv’s. I personally write any truck driver dropping rocks or dirt on the road.

There’s a dickhead driving around with a giant “Caution: stay back” sticker on the back of his car in east bay.

He gets pissed if you get within a couple car lengths of him.

Fucking loony.

I am not one of those idiots that stop 20 feet behind a car at lights. That said, I pulled up behind a late model Cadillac at a light. I stopped probably around 3 feet behind. Guy goes nuts. Jumps out of his car and starts screaming at me. WTF is wrong with people around here???

I always wondered how your're supposed to handle it when the rocks do fall off the truck when you're next to it and get smashed up?
